Fantastic property!!Cant fault it, I loved it

We liked the pleasant atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful, helping us out with finding good restaurants and looking up bus schedules. Breakfast was lovely and we liked our room, which for Paris was reasonably spacious. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the Jardin du Luxembourg, to good restaurants and nice shops. Though close to a busy street, the street on which the hotel is located was quiet.

Very stylish decor. Common areas are beautifully decorated and with a modern but elegant old world feeling. Artistic details throughout. Hotel upgraded us to a larger room with a tub rather than a shower but it was still quite small. All rooms in Paris are small so bring as little luggage as possible! The hotel is located in a trendy area of Paris not far from the very hip St. Germain area. It does seem a bit off the beaten path but a great place to stay if you aren't in town to see all the tourist stuff across the river. If you don't mind walking a lot and taking the metro it would be no problem at all and you will feel less like a tourist here.

Location was great, staff were extremely helpful and full of great recommendations and ideas. The restaurants recommended were among the best I have tried in Paris. Rooms were cozy, even if tiny, with a nice design and good craftsmanship. Lobby is cute and nice place to read a book if the weather is bad.

The highly unusual decor and the extremely pleasant service.

The hotel decor and service were very nice. Everything was super clean and very well-presented. Typically small room for a Parisian hotel but great all the same. Breakfast was VERY nice. Would definitely make a return trip!

Great staff! Very cut hotel, well placed. Cozy rooms, nice bathroom. For a boutique hotel, rooms are well sized

Located on a quiet street off busy historic Boulevard Montparnasse on the Left Bank, this chic quiet hotel is ideally located if your objective is to see the sights of the Left Bank and shop in the eternally hip stores on Saint-Germain-des-Prés (think Sonia Rykiel, Isabel Marant, Diptyque etc.), Boulevard Raspail, Rue de Sèvres (think Bon Marche and Le Grand Epicerie). It is also a short 5-7 minute walk from jardin du luxembourg. If you are a runner, a few laps around the jardin is a pleasant start to the day.Although small, the common areas and rooms are extremely well decorated in a contemporary and interesting yet classic style. Much attention has been paid to "outside the box" detail from the finishings (leather, stone, chrome, tile) in the rooms and common areas, the elegant splash of deep red/wine throughout the hotel, the human form motif on the walls, to the chilled-out electronic music filling the lobby, low lighting and the laid-back yet polite staff. The deluxe showers are particularly impressive although they take some getting used to! The hand-written welcome note from the owners is also a nice touch.

Although I stayed at the Hotel des Academies et des Arts during a brutally cold week in January, the reception I received at the hotel could not have been warmer. The staff at the desk were ever polite and helpful. My room was not large (I was not expecting it to be), but the bed was extremely comfortable and the lighting was good for reading. The location is terrific--close to the Vavin metro stop (line 4), as well as to the brasseries Le Dôme, La Rotonde, and Le Select.

The hotel was very easy to access from the Metro, and the staff were wonderful and very helpful with directions. The downstairs area was charming and the breakfast they served was better than one I walked blocks to find. The room I stayed in, which was called the Classic, was small compared to North American standards, but actually larger than I expected. The bathroom was immaculate and had an amazing shower stall that took up half the room. Two people might have found it cramped, but for one person it was ideal. The 6th a was a great location too.

Very modern, stylish flair; loved the delicious Continental breakfast. This hotel feels off the beaten path and, therefore, desirable.
