4. “A truly special destination. The villas, each nestled naturally into the landscape, are spacious, airy, thoughtfully designed, and well-appointed. We loved the outdoor shower and private pool and cabana. The spa treatments--we tried traditional Balinese massages as well as the papaya body scrub--were very luxurious. The spa staff heard us say how much we enjoyed the ginger-lemongrass tea they served and so had a complimentary pot of it delivered to our room, just one small example of the attentive, personalized service we received throughout our stay.”

5. “Sean Brennan, the manager.When was the last time your room phone one button that would send you directly to the General Manager's mobile? We checked in a day early, and because of this, got of to a slightly rocky start at Alila. One phone call to Sean and this kind, gracious, extremely sincere gentleman made sure not only that things were rectified, but were made up for 1000 times over -- no exaggeration. There is no question that Alila Uluwatu is one of the most visually stunning hotels in the world. But the real reason to go there is the way you will be cared for every moment of your stay.”
