“The service was fantastic. It set the tone for my entire stay/long weekend in Milan. There was always someone at the desk when I walked through the front door at any hour of the day or night; they greeted me by name and asked if they could help me with something. I truly felt welcomed and the staff were there to take care of my during my stay. I travel a lot and it's quite rare these days. I was given suggestions for restaurants, supplied with a power adapter, very attentive during breakfast without being bothersome. The beds and sheets were very comfortable, high ceilings, clean, and wardrobes that were 'hidden' nicely into the walls. It was early December so there were little 'stockings' on everyone's door with candies/sweets inside. They came in handy at 3am. The downstairs common area is very large with a tall, rectangular breakfast table a few different sofas/seating areas. There's a very nice outside patio, but was a bit cold to enjoy it in December. It's a little bit of a walk to the main attractions in the center and surrounds, but it's really not too bad. There's a tram stop at the intersection of the first main street, 3-4 blocks up from the hotel. There are some nice restaurants in the area as well. I had a pretty good meal at Valentino on corso monforte 16.The hotel staff really were attentive. The cute gal that was there in the afternoons, Anna (sp?) researched the train times to Brescia and called a taxi so it would be waiting to take me to the station after my day in the city. Glad she suggested I leave early because I almost slept through the Brescia stop and luckily found the last/only RyanAir coach to the cow pasture/airport for the flight to Stansted. Thank you Anna!!!This was my first trip to Italy, first trip to Milan. The city and people are lovely and Townhouse 31 is a fine ambassador.”
