Absolutely superb short break. The understated but ever present customer service was just how it should be. Even when I was being a bit think and couldn't find the secret chocolate and snacks compartment in the mini bar!Nothing was too much trouble, we only had to ask.Great shower!Great location right next to Plaza Santa Ana, and close to the legend that is Viva Madrid.

Great location, great roof terrace with bar

I liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. I did not use that many of the facilities actually. If I go to Madrid again, I will stay in this hotel again.

The regular rooms are really a bit too small, so we had to upgrade. Once upgraded we got an excellent spacious accommodation with a superb view of the square in front of the hotel. The room facilities (i.e. stereo system, DVD player, minibar, etc) are really cool. Concierge service was extremely helpful getting us the hard-to-get tickets, sorting out VIP treatment in night clubs and recommending and reserving the right restaurants. The Penthouse bar upstairs is really worth checking out - a good place to start an evening especially during the warm summer days.

Having made a last minute decision to jump to this hotel, we could have not have been more pleased with our decision. We spent one night in a 1st floor room that we switched when a better room became available the following day. The staff were extremely accommodating, the service impeccable and overall one of the finest hotel experiences we've ever had.

Location, balcony in room, view (over the Plaza de Santa Ana and Madrid rooftops), service, lounge & restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was remarkable. We arrived from the hubub of the Plaza Santa Ana into a lobby that was slick, spacious, and beautifully lit by candles and discreet lights. The music was excellent, and the perfectly put together desk clerk looked up and smiled as if she knew we would arrive that very moment. Sabrina (which is even more beautiful when pronounced with the Spanish ceseo) was wonderfully helpful in getting us a room with a supreme view onto the square below, and moreover letting us know how we could go about accessing the hotel's many amenities. Once in our room we were absolutely thrilled by the size and excellent design of the whole space. Everything was considered - from the choice of magazines, to the bedding, to the toiletries. The room had a sitting area, a huge maxi-bar (as they call it), a spacious desk, a huge washroom, and wonderful mood lighting. The location of the hotel was great affording us access to every area of central Madrid from the Chueca to the Retrio, to the Palace and down to the Rastro. Moreover, the concierge at the hotel was excellent at hooking us up with great places to eat and drink. We really can't say enough good about our experience of the ME Madrid.
