e un posto molto piacevole, sembra di stare a casa. all'arrivo mi e stato servito un the con degli ottimi pasticcini, e per cena si puo mangiare in un salottino con un atmosfera moloto piacevole

How quirky. Normally I would run a mile from all the chintz, roll top baths and gilt frames but there is something captivating about this one. Perhaps it is its small size and the fact that one gains entry through a rather nondescript and inconspicuous door. A Victorian lair! The contrast also of the tranquility and darkness and seclusion of the hotel compared with the livlinesses and youthfullness of its surroundings is also an intetesting juxtaposition.

The Rookery has a great, old world feel to it. They successfully take you back in time. Also, the location in Smithfield/Clerkenwell is good for restaurant options.

Charming decor. Pleasant, accomodating staff. Asked for and received an early check-in. Proximity to Faringdon tub station

This hotel is like entering another world of peace and tranquillity. I honestly can say that if you need a bolt hole in this part of London then look no further. The rooms are perfect as are the staff who can't do enough for you.

I stayed in two separate rooms over a three-day stay in London. I found both rooms to be comfortable, luxuriously appointed (if on the smaller side-but then it was a double room) unique and quiet. I appreciated the kind staff, delicious room service and parlour with fireplace and honesty bar (perhaps my husband and I got a little too "honest" on a few nights!)

The atmosphere was charming - the story tells a story of a bygone London yet has all the modern conveniences. I could have spent days in the bath staring at the various oil paintings that adorned the walls. Love the intimacy of the hotel in such a large city.
